Before you arrive, you might have some questions. Here are some things you might like to know:
- What is it like?
- Worship at Coble's is liturgical. That means we follow a four-fold pattern of worship: gathering, Word, meal, and sending. We generally use the service patterns you'll find in the front of the hymnal, but sometimes we create something from other sources.
- When you arrive, an usher will hand you a bulletin/service guide, and welcome you inside. You are welcome to sit anywhere.
- Our hymnal has two numbering systems.
- The front of the hymnal holds the liturgy and service music. Page numbers are at the bottom of the page.
- Following the service music, you will find the Psalms. They do not have page numbers because the Psalms are already numbered 1-150.
- Following the Psalms, you will find the rest of the hymnal contains hymns. Those numbers are at the top of the page.
- What about my kids?
- Kids are a delight! All of them. Noisy, quiet, outgoing, shy - we love them all. If your children need something you don't find already here, we would love to know what it is, so we can practice Christ's radical hospitality and do what we can to make them comfortable.
- We believe being in worship is how children learn the faith, so your noisy child is welcome to stay.
- If your children need to leave worship, there is a playroom for just that purpose. Simply ask an usher to direct you.
- We have nursery attendants available to be with your children.
- Where do I park?
- Parking is beside and in front of our church building. There is plenty of room.
- What do I wear?
- At Coble's, you'll find people in formal and casual clothing. You would not be out of place in jeans and a t-shirt, dress, or a suit and tie.
- How can I get connected?
- We'll introduce you to the folks who plan our events, sing in the choir, or wherever you'd like to plug in.
